Light
House
The heart center of Sevenoaks is our newest building, Light House.
The upstairs sanctuary is an airy, open, 50-foot-diameter room
circled with windows and equipped with a top of the line sound
system. A wrap-around deck outside offers dramatic mountain and
forest views. The 2,000-square-foot sanctuary is perfect for any
kind of gathering, from meditation, yoga and dance to large seminars
and meetings.
The lower level of Light House includes a smaller meeting room,
an art gallery with rotating exhibits, and a coffee bar and mingling
area, plus a dorm room for up to six people and ample restrooms.
Light House is handicap-accessible. |
Center
Building
Center Building features a 30 X 50 foot light-filled dining/ meeting
room opening onto a large deck with picnic tables. The building
also has a smaller meeting room, sleeping space for nine people,
and restrooms, along with the Sevenoaks administrative offices
and our bookstore and gift shop. |
Holly
House
and Corn Crib
These two adjoining guesthouses accommodate 19 to
27 people overnight. Depending on your desired space
configuration, these buildings could offer two small
meeting rooms while housing a smaller number of
overnight guests. |
Oak
House
A special, secluded retreat house in the oak grove with beautiful
mountain views. A small kitchen and flexible meeting and sleeping
space make Oak House an ideal self-contained space for up to 12
people--or it can be included in the accommodations for larger
groups. The shady front porch and picnic tables in the front yard
are tailor-made for lazy country days. |

The
Land and
Outdoor Recreation
The Sevenoaks land is well-known for its powerful healing energy.
We have been holding spiritual events here for over 30 years,
and the land has always been an active partner, offering its beauty,
richness and peace to whoever comes. The oak grove has been the
scene for many moments of transformation and celebration. Our
swimming pond and sweat lodges are a short walk from the main
campus area. Further afield, visitors enjoy hiking through forests
and meadows to the Rapidan River, which forms our western border.
Our land is home to abundant wildlife, including deer, beavers,
and over 70 species of birds. We feel privileged to share it with
our guests, who always seem to leave inspired and rejuvenated. |
Small
Sanctuary
Hidden in the woods just a few minutes from campus is an exquisite
small, seven-sided sanctuary, which is open for private or small-group
prayer and meditation any time during your visit. |
Dining
Our extraordinary gourmet meals, served buffet style, feature
homemade breads and desserts, an abundant salad bar, and a variety
of creative entrees, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Our fully
equipped commercial kitchen and dining facilities can serve up
to 100 people. Coffee, tea and snacks are available in all meeting
spaces. |
Sevenoaks Bookstore
Our guests enjoy browsing through our bookstore
and gift shop, which includes a selection of books, CDs and tapes on personal growth and enlightenment; an eclectic mix of music from around the world; plus candles, statuary, incense, jewelry and other gifts. |
