“If you work in a community
that lives in honesty, truthfulness, and an intimacy of self-revealing,
it will draw power in the spiritual sense, not in the worldly sense. This
power will have its effect, and one day the inevitable difficulties and
frictions that arise will have taught you the necessary lessons, according
to the principles of this path.”
—The Roscoe Lecture
Pathwork Experience Program (PEP)
Wake up each morning to the sun rising over the pine forest. Watch mountain
vistas as they change through the day and through the seasons. Plunge
into hard work--physical, emotional and spiritual. If this kind of life
appeals to you, you might be drawn to the Pathwork Experience Program
(PEP) at Sevenoaks.
The internal promise of such an experience of Pathwork is great, and can be profoundly life-changing.
PEP offers students a residential experience of being at Sevenoaks Pathwork Center, opening to a deeper level of their process while working at the Center. The work commitment is 25 hours a week, and includes work in the housekeeping, kitchen, grounds, and/or maintenance departments. Room and board are provided by Sevenoaks.
Students usually come for at least nine or ten months. Applicants who can only come for a shorter period—for example, for three months over the summer—will sometimes be accepted. Our experience, however, is that a longer time period is much more beneficial for the student's growth and learning. It is also recommended, but not required, that PEP students be enrolled in the Pathwork Transformation Program during their residency.
PEP program benefits include:
• A weekly process group led by a Pathwork Helper
• Regular morning spiritual practices
• Substantial discounts on workshops at the Center
• Discount on the Pathwork Transformation Program (for students
who qualify for the PTP program and are in residence for an entire PTP
school year)
The cost of the PEP program is $100 per month, plus the cost of regular
Pathwork sessions throughout the program, which are required to enable
the student to process issues that arise as part of the PEP experience.
Personal qualities that enable students to benefit most fully from the
program are willingness, physical stamina, self-motivation, curiosity
about their inner process, and a desire to go deeper into the inner realms.
This program is not a time for retreat or rest, but an active time for
moving toward one's center.
